– #Audio-Enhanced Input on Global Flooding

What about the North Atlantic Current? / What about it? // I got a call last night from Professor Rapson at the Hedland Center. He thinks the current has changed. / Oh, come on, Jack. How could that be? // The current depends upon a balance of salt and freshwater. / We all know that. // Yes, but no one knows how much freshwater has been dumped into the ocean because of melting polar ice caps. I think we've hit a critical desalinization point. It would explain what's driving this extreme weather. … Yes, it is a paradox, but global warming can trigger a cooling trend. Let me explain. The Northern Hemisphere owes its climate to the North Atlantic Current. Heat from the sun arrives at the equator and is carried north by the ocean. But global warming is melting the polar ice caps and disrupting this flow. Eventually it will shut down and when that occurs ... there goes our warm climate. (The Day After Tomorrow)

Honourable Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Dear Jabba![1]

Upfront, the humble author apologises for the brevity and oddity of this slice of digital paper.

Having studied the corresponding resources, your boss, i.e. Allah[2] ... الْمُهَيْمِن might consider foregiveness to be missing the point.

So, what’s up?

Climate Talks ... right!

Talk is cheap, right?

Figuratively, such talks are kind of reminiscent of Albert’s philosophical soliloquy’s on a bridge[3].

Who’s Albert?!

Obviously, the Talkative Community of Global Climate Change Observers (TCoGCCO) is trying to bridge the time between setting goals and keeping their promises.

Talkin‘ about your Desert Inn Oasis[4], you guys‘re pretty much into drinking water production[5] alongside oil[6] and gas[7] extraction, right?

Desalination[8] is a great scientific method of resolving the drinking water shortage ... oh, is that so?

Well you know, global warming has accounted for a different kind of desalination, i.e. a destabilisation of the Atlantic‘s[9] overturning circulation having coincided with the polar caps‘ gradual melting[10].

Could remind one of The Coming Superstorm[11] (2000) and The Day After Tomorrow[12] (2004).

So, make sure you get the Tipping Points[13] right, right?!

That’s pretty much it!

By the way, don't count your chickens before they‘re hatched.

Kind regards,

Cal Caleido
